This workshop explores how we (as part of the natural world) affect the environment in negative and positive ways when we use AI. In the workshop, participants will see examples of experiential and land-based learning and learn how to teach students how we can use AI in responsible ways. As with all our workshops, participants will also gain an understanding of what braiding knowledges can look like.

Cross-Curricular Coding Programs through the lens of Indigenous Knowledge

In this workshop, teachers will learn about the value of "unplugged" and experiential coding programs. They'll participate in a few different coding activities and see how Indigenous knowledge and coding can be connected. The workshop will include discussions, hands-on learning, and lots of fun!
