Aaniin everyone! I’m Abbey (she/her) and I am super excited to return to TRACKS as a School
Programs Instructor. I am originally from Barrie and am of settler-colonial ancestry but I now live
in Nogojiwanong | Peterborough to go to Trent University for Gender and Social Justice. Being
in Nogojiwanong has allowed my connection to the land to grow as I’ve come to understand my
responsibility to care for the waters, beings, and land to maintain that relationship of reciprocity
and do that decolonial work in reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. In my spare time I am
simply just enjoying the outdoors while listening to music to connect as well as self-reflect! I
believe that through youth programming as well as getting to connect with the land and its
relations is essential in building a transformative future. Chi-miigwech!
