Abbey McIntyre

Aaniinkinawiya! Abbey nindizhinikaaz Barrie ndoonjibaa Nogojiwanong nindaa. My name is Abbey (she/her) and I am originally from Barrie Ontario but I have now lived in Peterborough and have been a guest on this land for four years. I recently graduated from Trent University with my B.A. Honours in Gender & Social Justice. Being in Nogojiwanong has allowed my connection to the land to grow as I’ve come to understand my responsibility to care for the waters, beings, and land to maintain that relationship of reciprocity. I am passionate about youth and outdoor education as connecting with the land and its relations is essential in building a transformative future. Chi-miigwech.
