Feasting Frenzy: AI and Indigenous Food Systems

This game teaches students how Indigenous food systems are connected to the land, water, weather, and animal life and how modern tools like AI can both support and harm community decision-making. Students work in small “communities” and move through three stages of environmental challenges. During these challenges, students must harvest food, trade with different communities, and make decisions about when and where AI can be used effectively. Access to a large space, like a gymnasium, is necessary for this workshop.

All TRACKS workshops combine Indigenous Science and Western Science within an environmental context. All workshops will relate to the natural world and encourage kids to think about their responsibilities to the land.
