Jaida Ponce

Jaida Ponce is a Kichi Siibi Anishinabe- Kwe from Ardoch Algonquin First Nation. She is currently living in Nojiwanong/Peterborough and has worked in the past as a group leader, facilitator, and innovator in Humber College’s Indigenous Camp Choice program. She has volunteered at and attended Big Drum Socials and Indigenous Knowledges Gatherings, and performed traditional singing and fancy shawl dance. Additionally, she has studied Anishinaabemowin throughout K-12 and continues to work to improve her fluency since that time. This past year Jaida has worked at TRACKS in the Oshkwazin team in the Development and Delivery position and as the Oshkwazin Summer Youth Supervisor.
