Kelsey Roote
Camp Programs Coordinator

Aanii! Boozhoo! My name is Kelsey Roote (she/her). I am Anishinaabe and Dutch from Saugeen First Nation and I am the Camp Programs Coordinator here at TRACKS! I am currently in the Indigenous Environmental Studies program at Trent and I am passionate about achieving justice for our people, land, and water. I strive to live by the ways of knowing and being that my ancestors followed that allowed us to be here on Turtle Island. That said, I walk with the knowledge that everything has a spirit and use it to guide my work here at TRACKS.

Weaving together Indigenous Knowledges and Western Science is necessary for all of us to move forward sustainably and work to heal Mother Earth. I believe youth have so much to offer and teach us in this, so I am excited to be working with them through the TRACKS Youth Program!
