Betty Carr-Braint


Cultural Advisor/Indigenous Counselor, First People's House of Learning

Betty Carr-Braint is a current member of the TRACKS Advisory Committee. As a Cultural Advisor/Indigenous Counselor at Trent's First People's House of Learning, Betty provides much of the cultural support for the program staff, volunteers and participants.

Betty Carr-Braint has her Indigenous based Masters of Social Work. She also holds certificates in Traditional Healing and Counseling, Indigenous Community Health Approaches and Indigenous Addiction Services. She is also a certified Grief Recovery Specialist. Betty has over twenty years’ experience in the Social Work field specializing in Indigenous based practices and programming.
