Dr. Dan Longboat / Roronhiakewen (He Clears the Sky)

Associate Professor (Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies); founding Director of the Indigenous Environmental Science/Studies program (IESS)

As a co-founder of the TRACKS program, Dan provides much of the vision and mentorship for our Outreach and Education as well as our Oshkwazin Indigenous Youth Leadership programs. Dan Longboat is currently on sabbatical.

Dr. Chris Furgal

Associate Professor (Indigenous Environmental Studies); Co-director Nasivvik Centre for Inuit Health and Changing Environments

Chris Furgal is a current member of the TRACKS Advisory Committee. As a co-founder of the program, Chris provides much of the day-to-day, as well as long-term, support for the program.

Julie Cosgrove

Executive Director, Kawartha World Issues Center (KWIC)

Julie Cosgrove is a current member of TRACKS Advisory Committee through which she facilitates collaboration and resource-sharing between TRACKS and KWIC.

Betty Carr-Braint

Cultural Advisor/Indigenous Counselor, First People's House of Learning

Betty Carr-Braint is a current member of the TRACKS Advisory Committee. As a Cultural Advisor/Indigenous Counselor at Trent's First People's House of Learning, Betty provides much of the cultural support for the program staff, volunteers and participants.

Nikki Auten / Tayohseron:tye (The Winters are Coming this Way)

Professor of Indigenous Studies, Loyalist College

Nikki Auten is a current member of the TRACKS Advisory Committee. As a Master of Arts student in Sustainability Studies, Nikki is providing support to the Advisory Committee while Dan Longboat is on sabbatical.
