Biodiversity and Indigenous Knowledge

Biodiversity and Indigenous Knowledge

How and why do Indigenous-managed spaces host some of the highest rates of biodiversity in the world? This workshop will invite us to closely observe the natural spaces that surround us daily. We will discuss why ecosystems thrive when land is under the protection of Indigenous peoples and why this is so important in today's world.

Optional add-on: Download iNaturalist to your smartphone or computer before the workshop to learn about how you can contribute to scientific studies through citizen science!
