This workshop will walk participants through some of the history of manoomin (wild rice) in Michi Saagig Nishinaabeg territory, the science behind the ecosystems it supports and information about how manoomin is harvested. We'll also discuss the very important relationship between humans and this unique plant!

As you may know, all TRACKS workshops combine Indigenous Science and Western Science within an environmental context. All online workshops will relate to the natural world and encourage kids to think about their responsibilities to the land.
