Call for Applications: Oshkwazin Youth Ambassador


TRACKS Oshkwazin is a leadership program for Indigenous high school aged youth, providing them with valuable training and leadership development opportunities. Inspired by the mandate of IESS program, TRACKS Oshkwazin aims to empower Indigenous youth to utilize their traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).

Apply today if you are an Indigenous youth over the age of 15 interested in:
  • Fostering leadership skills 
  • Learning more about Indigenous cultural teachings and TEK
  • Gaining practical and employable skills

  • Building relationships with other youth and groups in the community
  • Connecting with inspiring individuals in the community

  • Connecting with organizations making change
This position has the possibility of continuing part-time in the school year.

  • Visits to places like the Ontario Turtle Conservation Center
  • Overnight trips
  • Cultural workshops such as Regalia making
  • Outdoor adventure opportunities
  • On-the-land skills-building workshops
  • Outdoor education with kids
  • Leadership retreats

Details:
16 week position from July 2nd to August 27th
$14/hour, 30 hours/week
